Hi and welcome to the ACC.

Although the name may say American, this group is for all persons
who are involved in or interested in any aspect of VOIP communications.
So, welcome to our international friends! (Please join!)

I thought I'd post a breif history and some thoughts on our goals for the
future.

The original thought for getting some people together was when people
on the #freepbx channel started asking about paid tech support. One of
the guys there whom I had worked with for a while had been talking about
starting just such a business. Later I was approached about collaborating
on sales and informational publications by feral_kid. This led to discussion
where I related that two people had said that you can get voip "minuites"
for as little as point zero five cents per! (But you had to buy 1Million!)
($500) This is a bit of a "nut" to bear each month, hence the idea of the
formation of a co-op to pool our buying power, resell these minuites to our
members at near cost and allow them to resell them to their clients.
Additionally we want to be able to wholsale buy equipment such as ATA's
etc.

Another arm of the co-op would be a wanted/forsale for services, ie:contractors for installs, support, custom apps etc.

We can use all the ideas you have out there and some volunteer time would be of great use also. (There may be a few "paying" positions).
